When Phoebe left the interview for the job she had dreamed of, she was pretty sure an offer  was in the bag.

Quando Phoebe deixou a entrevista para o emprego que sonhara, ela tinha certeza de que havia uma oferta garantida/no papo.


After I talked to  the realtor on Friday I thought the house was in the bag, but I was sorely mistaken.

There’s nothing sadder than thinking you have a financial deal in the bag and then finding out that you didn’t read it right.
