AMERICAN IDIOM/EXPRESSION: TO FACE THE MUSIC

Mom told me not to snoop into the drawer where she keeps her jewelry. I did it anyway and wound up damaging one of her favorite  necklaces. Now, I'll have to face the music.

Mamãe me disse para eu não bisbilhotar a gaveta onde ela guarda suas jóias.  Eu bisbilhotei mesmo assim e acabei danificando um de seus colares favoritos.  Agora, terei que enfrentar as consequências. 

Mom, I lost Dad's screwdriver while repairing my bike. Please, don't tell on me to him.
