PAST TENSE (ED) ENDING (HEMMED, TRIMMED)

After Cindy finished sewing the dress, she trimmed the bottom of it. She hemmed it to come down to just below her knee.

Depois que Cindy terminou de costurar o vestido, ela ajeitou a barra dele.  Ela fez a bainha  logo abaixo do joelho.

She used her sharpest scissors when she trimmed the dress and made sure that when she hemmed it, her stitches were even and carefully placed. She was very pleased with the results.

Ela usou sua tesoura mais afiada quando ela ajeitou/aparou o vestido e certificou-se de que, ao fazer a bainha, seus pontos estavam uniformes e cuidadosamente colocados.  Ela ficou muito satisfeita com os resultados.

Years ago, when she had just begun learning to sew, she never planned things so well. Now, when she hemmed and trimmed the clothing that she made, her work was much more professional looking.

Anos atrás, quando ela apenas tinha começado a aprender a costurar, ela nunca planejava as coisas tão bem.  Agora, quando ela fazia bainhas e aparava as roupas que ela fazia, seu trabalho era muito mais profissional.
