PAST TENSE (ED) PRONUNCIATION (BUDGED, FUDGED)

Every now and then Jack fudged on the rules, so it was easier for him to win. But no matter how many times he fudged, the referee never budged, so he didn’t win.

De vez em quando, Jack trapaceava nas regras, para que ficasse mais fácil para ele vencer. Mas não importava quantas vezes ele trapaceava, o árbitro nunca cedia, então ele não ganhou.

He knew the more he fudged on the rules, the more the referee would consider him a risk. The referee made sure that he never budged and watched Jack carefully whenever he fudged on the rules.
