SILENT LETTERS (KNEE, KNICKERS)

There is an old-fashioned type of pants called knickers. These pants come just below the knee on the wearer.

Existe um tipo de calça antiquada chamada calcinha. Essas calças vêm logo abaixo do joelho do usuário.

People currently wear pants called capris. They fit a lot like knickers, because both capris and knickers come just below the knee.
