HOMONYMS: hole, whole

Last week I dug a big deep hole in the ground. I took all the dirt out of it and planned to fill the whole thing back in shortly after.

I felt like the hole was a dangerous thing to have in the backyard. I made sure to put a barricade up to warn people there was a hole there so they wouldn’t fall.

Before long, the hole had gotten filled back in by the neighbor’s dog who had put a bone inside and buried it. It was really a pretty silly thing.
