PAST TENSE (ED) PRONUNCIATION: BOBBED, GRABBED

The little child threw the ball into the water, and the ball bobbed up and down on the waves. It was such a dangerous situation, as we all know, for that child to be playing with the ball near the water.

His dad saw the ball hit the surface, and he ran quickly and grabbed the ball from the water. The ball no longer bobbed on the water, so it wasn’t a temptation for the child.

Seu pai viu a bola atingir a superfície e correu rapidamente e tirou (pegou, agarrou) a bola da água. A bola não balançava mais na água, então não era uma tentação para a criança.

It’s amazing how carefully and deeply you have to consider what is a temptation for a child. Anything in the water that could tempt the child to go in, is a problem. When that dad saw that the ball bobbed on the water, he grabbed it to remove the temptation.
