PAST TENSE (ED) PRONUNCIATION: HISSED, PASSED

The old man passed the snake when he was out for a walk in the woods. The snake hissed at him and coiled up on the ground.

O velho passou pela cobra quando ele estava passeando na floresta.  A cobra sibilou para ele e se enrolou no chão.



When the snake hissed, the old man got a bit frustrated. He put his hands on his hips and growled, “Hey! I passed you and minded my own business!”

Quando a cobra sibilou, o velho ficou um pouco frustrado.  Ele colocou as mãos nos quadris e rosnou: “Ei!  Eu passei por você e cuidei da minha vida!



The old man wrinkled up his face, hissed at the snake, and passed him on his way out of the forest.

O velho franziu o rosto, sibilou para a cobra e passou por ela no caminho para fora da floresta.
