PAST TENSE (ED) PRONUNCIATION: LAUGHED, STUFFED

When the woman was preparing turkey for her Thanksgiving meal, she stuffed stale bread, spices, and seasonings inside it to increase the flavor. She remembered that she used to watch her mother do this, and she laughed at the memory.

Quando a mulher estava preparando o peru para a refeição do Dia de Ação de Graças, ela recheou pão velho/dormido, especiarias e temperos dentro dele para aumentar o sabor.  Ela se lembrou de que costumava observar sua mãe fazer isso e riu da lembrança.

She laughed because she recalled how she used to tell her mother, “I will never do that to a bird!” Now she was an old hand at it and stuffed the bird like a pro!

Ela riu porque ela se lembrou de como costumava dizer à mãe: "Eu nunca vou fazer isso com um pássaro!"  Agora ela era experiente nisso e recheava o pássaro como uma profissional!

What she wouldn’t give to go back to those days and spend that time in the kitchen where she laughed with her mother! It may have been mundane work, but her mother made it all seem so easy and fun when she stuffed the bird.

O que ela não daria para voltar àqueles dias e passar aqueles momentos na cozinha onde ela ria com a sua mãe!  Pode ter sido um trabalho mundano, mas sua mãe fazia tudo parecer tão fácil e divertido quando ela recheava o pássaro.
