SILENT LETTERS (HANDSOME, WEDNESDAY)

The man was so handsome, and Margaret was excited when he asked to see her the following Wednesday, so she tapped her finger against her temple, thinking about what she should wear when they met for the date.

Wednesday came and went, with no sign of the man, and Margaret spent her day realizing it was yet another lesson learned.

Actually two! The two lessons were these: ‘Being handsome isn’t everything,’ and ‘There are much worse things than being your own date every Wednesday.’
