HETERONYMS (POLISH: VERB, ADJECTIVE, NOUN)

Margaret loved to polish the table in the dining room. She had received the table from her Polish grandmother, and it was very dear to her.

Margaret adorava polir a mesa da sala de jantar.  Ela havia recebido a mesa de sua avó polonesa, e era muito querida para ela.

Typically two to three times a week, Margaret would take out her polish and work on the table to polish her Polish grandmother's gift to her. Sometimes the tears would burn her eyes as she remembered all the time she had spent with the old woman.

True, the table was just a thing, something that probably shouldn’t seem so valuable to her. But touching and caring for the table, she could remember the way her grandmother’s hands felt warm and comforting on her back as she patted her and encourage her through the early years of her life.

Verdade, a mesa era apenas uma coisa, algo que provavelmente não deveria parecer tão valioso para ela.  Mas tocando e cuidando da mesa, ela conseguia se lembrar de como as mãos de sua avó eram quentes e reconfortantes em suas costas enquanto ela a acariciava e a encorajava nos primeiros anos de sua vida.
