When the young mother’s back was turned, the dog bit the child. The young mother was frantic and beat the dog.
Quando ela estava de costas, o cachorro mordeu a criança. A jovem mãe ficou desesperada e bateu no cachorro.
It was a very sad situation, because it all could’ve been avoided. If the mother had looked ahead at the possibilities and the dangers, the child would have avoided being bitten and the dog would have escaped being beaten.
Foi uma situação muito triste, porque tudo poderia ter sido evitado. Se ela tivesse previsto as possibilidades e os perigos, teria sido evitado que a criança fosse mordida e o cachorro teria escapado de ser espancado.
As in so many situations in life, the innocent victims are the ones who pay the cost for the mistakes of adults. The young mother will never forget the time that her child was bitten nor the time she was responsible for the dog being beaten.
Como em tantas situações da vida, as vítimas inocentes são as que pagam pelos erros dos adultos. A jovem mãe nunca vai esquecer a hora em que seu filho foi mordido nem a vez em que ela foi a responsável pela surra do cachorro.
