HETERONYMS (DINGY: NOUN & ADJECTIVE)

The sailor owned a small fleet of boats: three larger boats and one small dingy. One of the boats, the dingy, was rather dingy.

O marinheiro possuía uma pequena frota de barcos: três barcos maiores e um pequeno bote.  Um dos barcos, o pequeno bote, era bastante sujo.

Since the dingy was so dingy, he decided to paint it. But he thought better of it, since it was just a dingy and was not meant to be fancy.

Já que o bote era muito encardido, ele decidiu pintá-lo.  Mas ele pensou melhor, já que era apenas um pequeno bote não havia porque ser chique.

The dingy would hold just two men. It wasn’t very useful, and it was dingy, so it wasn’t his favorite boat.

O pequeno bote comportava apenas dois homens.  Não era muito útil e era sujo, então não era seu barco favorito.
