HOMONYMS: bussed, bust

The school children were bussed to another city to attend school. When I arrived at the school, I was afraid to drop my mother’s fragile wine glass on the sidewalk for fear it might bust.

As crianças da escola foram levadas de ônibus para outra cidade para frequentar a escola. Quando cheguei à escola, fiquei com medo de deixar cair a frágil taça de vinho da minha mãe na calçada com medo de que ela quebrasse.

Uma geração atrás, as crianças raramente eram levadas de ônibus para qualquer lugar. Elas faziam muito mais exercícios do que fazem atualmente e agem como se fossem arrebentar se trabalharem muito ou andarem muito.
